This is a tailor made round, designed for low recoil, for those who want to use it in their compact revolvers such as the S&W J Frame (to include the Lipsey's Ultimate Carry J Frame), Ruger LCRs, etc. Recoil does not seem much more than a .22 Magnum. Very easy to shoot. Velocity as tested:

4" Ruger GP100: 850 FPS.

1 & 7/8ths" Ruger LCR: 800 FPS.

S&W Ultimate Carry 432: 795 FPS.

Independent testing, both at the Lipsey's gun writer's seminar and elsewhere provided feedback that the Lost River 100 grain, poly coated wadcutter load, when fired through the snubby handguns, penetrated an average of 22" and 24" respectively in individual testing, when fired into ballistic gel. Truly exceptional performance for such light recoiling ammunition.

Lost River Ammo was also advised by a very well respected industry leader, that this wadcutter load completely penetrated a Toyota Sequoia windshield (that had not been previously shot) and after penetrating the windshield, it penetrated the driver's headrest.
