In cooperation with both Lipsey's Distribution, and in response to requests from our customers, this load is a result of folks asking for a low recoil, easy shooting, load for both their .41 caliber single action and double action revolvers. The Poly Coat projectiles produce less smoke, and in use (as compared to traditional hard cast) your firearms stay cleaner, longer, requiring less maintenance. This is simply a fun load! Projectile colors may vary.

For those interested in the genesis of a .41 Magnum load at 900 FPS, take note. In the early 1960s Elmer Keith (as well as Bill Jordan) was trying to get S&W to produce the revolver, and both Remington and Norma to produce ammo. He had asked for a couple different loads, one of which was a "Police load" which was intended to be a practical everyday carry load. Keith asked for a 210 grain at 900 FPS.

Executives (who did not have Keith's or Jordan's experience) insisted on more powerful loads and their "light load" was way too hot, and as a result it was a commercial flop.

Elmer Keith and Bill Jordan actually knew a thing or two about revolvers and loads, and what worked.

This load is essentially what Keith and Jordan wanted all along, finally in commercial format.
